Paul Sable Snibbe was born in New York, where he was classically trained in fine art at the Art Students League, Music and Art High School and the New School. He has a BFA from Antioch College. Paul has travelled extensively in Europe and Asia educating himself to the art and architecture of many periods and cultures. He has been creating kinetic art for over 50 years. Paul has been commissioned by many hospitals and corporate venues to create kinetic acrylic mobiles. He developed the use of LEDs in his acrylic sculpture. Recently he began working with programmable LEDs in new configurations. In 2014, Paul collaborated with Tim Thompson to design and fabricate the appearance of the Space Palette, which is one of the most advanced interactive art pieces in existence today.
