Centehua

Centehua is a movement alchemist, devoted to music and ritual. Creator of Lunar Rhythm- A womb centric movement practice, a dance dedicated to the embodiment of the feminine in all her forms. Centehua is a mother, dancer, doula, forager, drummer and aspiring bee keeper. She is currently living in San Diego where she hosts women’s circles, ritual gatherings and teaches Lunar Rhythm. She is native to Mexico and has deep reverence for her ancestral roots and ceremonies. Her name means oneness and she believes that dance is a portal towards integration of all polarity. The medicine is within.

  • Lunar Rhythm - Womb Centric Movement

    A dynamic meditation, this dance is a prayer in motion. Infused with aspects of Belly dance and yoga, this practice is for women to dive deeper into their bodies, awaken the wisdom in their wombs and bond in sisterhood. Moving with the element, the breath gently warms the body and builds heat. This is the sacred fire that purifies our intentions, activates our heart and allows the brain to release natural happy, feel good chemicals. The guided practice transitions into a free flowing dance that deepens embodied connection to the Feminine in all her forms. This is Shakti the creative principle of divine energy. We are remembering to trust our intuition, our inner knowing, our instinctual nature. This practice is an inquiry into our bodies' relationship to the earth, the cycles of the moon and the alchemy of dance.
